Happy New Year everyone! What a doozy 2017 was, over 300 listings photographed! I’m been super fortunate to develop growing business relationships with some of Napa Valley and Sonoma County’s top agents and brokerages. Throughout 2017 I photographed everything from barns and farms, to luxury estates, coastal getaways, and trendy lofts. The unique challenges, breathtaking architecture, and enjoyable working collaboration with real estate professionals are what keep me going in this industry. I love my career and I hope to work with you in 2018!
Let’s take a look at some of my favorite real estate listings that I photographed in 2017!
The French Country Manor, Olive Hill Estate in Napa Valley.

I began working with Mark and Christine in early 2017, and out of the gates the collaboration was excellent. My wife and I live near their office in downtown Napa, and every time we would walk by their window front, I would see Mark hard at work, even late in the evenings when we would be heading to dinner or meeting friends downtown. So one day, I decided to pop in and say hello!
During the early Summer of 2017, we collaborated to photograph and video capture this beautiful estate in the prestigious Olive Hill neighborhood of Napa Valley. Epic views of Mt. George, cascading hills of vineyards, and of course, tasteful architecture mirroring that of the French Countryside. Mark and Christine wanted to jazz up the listing a bit and add some lifestyle videography to the marketing. So we had one of their good friends stage a Ferrari up the driveway, which I followed with a series of drone camera flights. Check out the video and some of my favorite images from the photo shoot!
Coastal Beauty on Gull Drive, in Bodega Bay CA.

I’ve been working with Dennis and Kathleen for a few years now, and without a doubt they are two of the most polished and professional real estate pro’s I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with. To top if off, they’re fun to work with! Dennis and Kathleen have been in Bodega Bay since the early 90’s and their expertise in the area is second to none.
Having grown up in the Napa Valley, my family and I would make frequent trips to Bodega Bay for weekend beach trips, birthday celebrations, camping, and more. Naturally I fell in love with the area at a young age, and continue to admire this beautiful stretch of the Sonoma Coastline. When I began working with Dennis and Kathleen, it was literally a dream come true to have an excuse to visit Bodega Bay on a frequent basis for “work.”
I’ve been honored to photograph and video capture many of their listings over the past few years, but one in particular has stood out, which is not easy, many of the homes in Bodega Harbor are breathtaking with epic views of the Pacific Ocean. This particular listing sits on Gull Drive, overlooking the sea with views of the Bodega Head. What stood out most was the row of ocean view windows in the great room, and unique symmetry throughout the great room and kitchen area, provided by wood beams and geometrical layouts. For an architectural photography geek like myself, this place was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Anyone who drives in to Petaluma (one of my favorite cities to work in), is quickly greeted by a large billboard featuring the Peg King team, which is co-operated with her son Jeremy, out of the Coldwell Banker Petaluma office. I had been working with the Petaluma office for a few years, but had yet to earn Peg’s business (she’s a pretty big deal in Sonoma County, and I’m certain vendors are constantly knocking on her door for business).
In 2017 I was honored and flattered to get the call “we have a high-end listing, and we hear you’re good at aerial photography and sunset photos.” Woot! So began a great, on-going collaboration with Peg, Jeremy, and their marketing team. I’ve become their go-to photographer for most of their Global Luxury listings, and we always incorporate my favorite photography technique, twilight photography (you can learn more about twilight photography in my post here). It’s an absolute honor to work with the King team and I’m excited to share some of my favorite twilight shots from 2017, check’em out!
