Livescribe might be one of the most fascinating collaborations of vintage habit meeting contemporary technology. If anyone read Hemingway, you’re familiar with his “Moleskine” and how it was the back-pocket scroll for all of his prose. Almost any good writer I’ve ever met, always has a small booklet and pen kept somewhere nearby or in a pocket for that random stroke of character inspiration or plot line that just cannot go forgotten.
Whether I’m in the office working, the studio editing, or in the field filming; I find myself constantly writing down ideas on scratch paper, post-it notes, and even in the text application of my cell phone. I may switch to this amazing device, simply because I enjoy the old school feel of writing, but I want the contemporary organizing of today’s cloud technology.
